A a recent survey, Harvard seniors estimated 53 percent of their peers cheated while enrolled at the school.

However, according to the same survey conducted by Harvard’s student newspaper, The Crimson, only 30 percent of graduating seniors admitted to cheating during their undergraduate years.

On the same day The Crimson released the annual survey, Undergraduate Dean Evelynn M. Hammonds resigned her position after she was widely criticized for ordering a search of Harvard professors’ email accounts in relation to the Government 1310 cheating scandal.

Dean Hammonds denies her resignation was related to the cheating scandal and plans to lead a new Harvard research program on race and gender in science this summer.
