Ban Trump's Twitter? Students react (VIDEO)

Sen. Kamala Harris recently sent a letter to Twitter asking the social media company to suspend President Donald Trump's Twitter account.

Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips asked students at North Carolina State University whether they agree with Harris' proposal.

The California senator said the president's tweets have violated Twitter's guidelines.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) sent a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey urging him to suspend the account of President Donald Trump.

Citing the president’s response to the ongoing impeachment inquiry as well as other “blatant threats” he’s made, Harris said, “we need a civil society, not a civil war.” While some, including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass), have laughed off the idea of the president’s account being suspended, Harris insists it’s necessary.

Wanting to know what college students thought, Campus Reform’s Cabot Phillips headed to North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

“I think I agree with her, as our President he should never disrespect anyone,” one student in favor of suspending Trump’s account said, while another added, “a normal person would be suspended, so why isn’t he? Being president shouldn’t change laws…”

“I agree with that because the way the president has handled his Twitter presence has been really unprofessional,” another argued.

When asked where the line is and how many people must be offended by a tweet for it to warrant action, one student said, “I feel like after the first one he kinda should’ve been cut off.”

One student drew the line differently, saying, “if you offend the majority of people in America, then you should get it taken away.”
