EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Students say America is not the greatest country
The majority of students said they do not think America is the greatest.
Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips asked students if America is the greatest country.
A recent poll shows a record number of young Americans now say America is not the greatest country on Earth.
According to the Pew Research Center, 36 percent of Americans ages 18 to 29 think there are other countries better than the United States, “the highest share of any group.”
Wanting to know whether college students thought America was the greatest country, Campus Reform Editor-in-Chief Cabot Phillips headed to Georgetown University to find out.
Immediately, it became clear that the idea of America being the best was not a popular one.

“America’s not great,” one student said, while another added, “It’s not the greatest country in the world.”
“I don’t think it’s the greatest,” one freshman said, while a senior invoked President Donald Trump, saying “it’s the current administration… and also the history of America thinking we’re the best and kind of doing whatever we want.”
One student claimed America was “awful” due to the fact that “we treat immigrants like s***.”
When asked what countries were better than the United States, numerous students cited Norway, Finland, or Sweden, while one said “France and England.”
What would students say when asked whether they’d ever been taught American Exceptionalism?
