The George Washington University is offering counseling services for anyone affected by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s 2005 remarks about groping women.
The George Washington University is offering counseling services for anyone affected by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s 2005 remarks about groping women.
“#GWU sexual assault survivors retraumatized by #Trump comments can connect with @GWHealthCenter 24x7 or @GWHaven,” Vice Provost and Dean of Student Affairs Peter Konwerski posted on Twitter.
GW Haven is known as a “safe space” on campus for students with affected by sexual assault, and Konwerski’s post comes at a time when sexual assault is a prevalent topic on college campuses nationwide and subject to criticism.
Campus Reform reached out to Konwerski’s office, but was told only that Konwerski controls his own Twitter account.
GW College Republicans spokesperson Allie Coukos declined to comment.
