Profs. react on Twitter to Charleston shooting
Dr. Faheem Younus, a professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, went on a Twitter rant following the shootings that occurred in Charleston, South Carolina.
The medical school professor blasted American Sniper, Fox News, and even made claims of segregation.
Younus suggested that one reason for the Charleston shooting was due to the glorification of mass murderers like Chris Kyle, the soldier depicted in American Sniper.
The professor of ethics even claimed that Fox News played a part in “breeding” the ideology of racism, which lead to the brand of terrorists that would commit such atrocities.
The claim that churches are currently twenty times more segregated than schools was also mentioned during the doctors rant.
Dr. Younus has also been a contributor on Fox News on more than one occasion and also serves as president for the Baltimore chapter of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA in his free time. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Hoffberger Center for Ethics at the University of Baltimore, as well as a contributor for the Huffington Post.
Dr. Younus has deleted many of the tweets since their initial posting.
