A student at George Mason University (GMU) has received threats of rape and death after posting an abhorrent limerick about Michael Brown.
Ashley Ray Goldenberg, 22, posted the offensive poem to her CommunismKills Tumblr page recounting the tragic events in Ferguson in a humorous manner. The post quickly went viral and she was immediately labeled a bigoted, white supremacist, and a member of the KKK.
Ashley, an outspoken libertarian, is an economics major and guest columnist for Capitalism Institute and The Libertarian Republic. Upon posting the Ferguson inspired poem, Goldenberg faced backlash from social justice warriors (SJWs), online left-wing activists.
According to a blog post about the incident, two SJW bloggers known as ‘agalaxtical’ and ‘slutsonlyclub’ allegedly initiated the attacks. Members of the SJW community have threatened to rape, burn, torture, and murder the Goldenberg family.
In addition they have published the family’s address, their credit card and phone numbers; called for Ashley’s expulsion from GMU, and insisted all other schools deny her admission; threatened arson against the family’s property; and have written personal attacks on Ashley’s appearance, declaring she needs plastic surgery and assuring her she is “never getting laid.”
Ashley claims that, since SJWs posted her phone number, she receives an average of over 200 calls, some recurring dozens of times, and loads of texts between the hours of 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.

The online predators have also attacked Ashley’s mother, posting messages such as the one featured below, even though she had no involvement in the incident. They also contacted Ashley's landlord, claiming she hadn’t paid her rent and should be kicked out.
Ashley keeps a detailed and frequently updated account of her experience on her Communism Kills Facebook page, where she posted an email sent from GMU’s Title IX coordinator asking that she contact her immediately.
Campus Reform was unable to reach Ashley in regards to GMU’s response to the incident.
Over 7,000 people have “liked” the Facebook page, and many of the comments on her posts offer Ashley their support and condolences. Her posts appear relatively undaunted, though she did ask on Nov. 28 if there is a non-emergency form of police she can contact.
GMU and campus police did not respond to Campus Reform's request for comment in time for publication.
