University uses race-based 'facial-morphing' to combat racism and discrimination on campus
Race Experience Kiosks rent for $3,500 to $4,500 per week.
The Race Experience Kiosk allows users to see their face as six different races.
University of Ohio-Akron has brought a "race-morphing" video game to campus as part of its efforts to combat racism and discrimination.
The demonstration, called “The Race Experience Kiosk,” allows students to see what their faces would look like as a member of six different races:white, black, Asian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, and Indian. The kioskis part of the school’s “Rethinking Race” program, with which the school “hopes to engage the public with important topics such as diversity in the workplace and awareness of issues and culture,” according to the college’s official website.

Students laughed “heartily” as sophomore Megan Carroll, a red-headed Irish girl, “morphed” her face into an Asian face, but “were oohing and aahing at Hispanic Megan,” according to WKSU.
Caroll said she did not like how she looked as an Indian.
"It made me look kind of fat,” she said.
Race Experience Kiosk CFO Diane Thompson told Campus Reform that the kiosks rent for $3,500 to $4,500 per week.
"Rethinking Race" began on Jan. 31 and will run until Feb. 14.
